Army to Provide Training to Pakistan Cricket Team
Prior to the forthcoming series and the T20 World Cup, Pakistani cricket players will train with the Pakistan Army for ten days, from March 25 to April 8, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi announced on Tuesday.
While addressing members of the national squad in an Islamabad hotel, Mohsin Naqvi made this declaration. Naqvi stated that the camp will assist players in getting their conditioning "up to speed" and that it would start about a week after the PSL season ends.
Details reveal that the camp, which will address player fitness problems, is slated to take place at the Kakul military academy from March 25 to April 8 in advance of the forthcoming series against New Zealand.
"I don't think a single one of you hit a six that went into the stands when I was watching the matches in Lahore," he continued. "I always thought a six like that was hit by a guy from overseas.
Even though players don't have much time to relax and recuperate, the camp is scheduled for Ramadan, which falls right after PSL 9.
The PCB chairman highlighted past Army cricket training camps in 2016 as evidence of the decision's importance. Under Misbah-ul-Haq's leadership, Pakistan won the Test rankings.
