In the 65 Pakistani players who signed up for The Hundred draft, there was no Babar Azam.

LONDON: 65 athletes from Pakistan, including five female cricket players, registered for the March 20 The Hundred 2024 Draft.

Star batsman Babar Azam, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, and current T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi are not included in the group of Pakistani players.

According to the most recent update, Welsh Fire kept right-arm quick Haris Rauf, while Manchester Originals kept leg-spinner Usama Mir.

Hasan Ali and Naseem Shah, Pakistan's first-choice pacers, reserved a £100,000 spot for The Hundred draft. On the other hand, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan established their reserve prices at £75,000.

The base price that Mohammad Amir, Saim Ayub, Aamer Jamal, and Abdullah Shafique have established is £60,000.

Azam Khan, Mir Hamza, and Mohammad Hasnain entered the draft with a reserve price of £40,000, while Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, and Imad Wasim signed up with a reserve price of £50,000.

In addition, 46 Pakistani players—Haider Ali, Umar Amin, Faheem Ashraf, Shahnawaz Dahani, Zaman Khan, Shan Masood, Mohammad Nawaz, Roman Raees, Saud Shakeel, Haneen Shah, and Mohammad Wasim Jr.—registered for The Hundred draft without a reserved fee.

In the women's division, all-rounders Aliya Riaz and Javeria Rauf entered the draft without a reserve price, while Pakistani captain Nida Dar, together with Iram Javed and Fatima, registered with a reserved price of £17,500.

389 players from outside and 245 players from within the country signed up for the men's competition draft.

It is important to note that a reserve price is the lowest sum of money a team will accept for a player.

That player will no longer be able to be selected if every team fills its spots at that price range and higher.

For the Sultans, it was deja vu as they watched another PSL final be stolen from them in a low-scoring thriller ending. He claimed five wickets and was out in the middle when Hunain Shah angled the final delivery behind point to win United's third title. In Karachi today, the drama of the previous year's epic final, which the Sultans lost by a run, was undoubtedly surpassed. At several points during both innings, United looked to have won that match, but never more so than when they got the Sultans down to 127 for 9. However, Iftikhar Ahmed's cameo of an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls lifted the Sultans to 159, a score that they felt they had just about enough manpower to ...
