Shan Masood makes a daring claim on the six Pakistani pacers.

Masood is enthusiastic about Pakistan's fast-bowling department's depth.

The captain of Pakistan's Test team, Shan Masood, has voiced great faith in the fast-bowling armament of his team.

In an interview with Bazid Khan for the PCB podcast, Masood discussed how he will manage his pacers' workload for the forthcoming Test season.

Up until January 2025, Pakistan's test schedule is packed with series against South Africa (away, two tests), England (home, three tests), Bangladesh (home, two tests), and the West Indies (home, two tests).

"You must oversee the workload of their [pacers]." Similar to Shaheen Afridi in Australia, who played two straight Test matches before we had to rest him for the third due to an upcoming busy schedule. We'll continue to consider that, Masood stated.

Masood is enthusiastic about Pakistan's depth when it comes to fast bowling, pointing out that the current side has six extremely skilled pacers who can all bring something special to the table.

Each of the six has a unique offering, and they can all stake a claim to be in the starting lineup. I think we'll be okay, and it will offer the players experience, he added, and wherever someone is needed, it will let us to rest one of our best bowlers.

"Whether Shaheen or Naseem Shah isn't available, we're equally confident that the guys who step in—the new guys like Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Ali, and even Aamer Jamal to an extent—when they step in, they all offer something that can win Pakistan games and pick those 20 crucial wickets," he continued.

The forthcoming two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh gets underway in Rawalpindi on August 21.

However, Iftikhar Ahmed's cameo of an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls lifted the Sultans to 159, a score that they felt they had just about enough manpower to ...
