PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praises Rizwan as "unstoppable."

Mohammad Rizwan, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), received high accolades from Mohsin Naqvi for his undefeated 171-run performance in the first innings of the first Test match against Bangladesh on Thursday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Mohsin Naqvi praised Mohammad Rizwan on X, the former Twitter platform, saying that the player has shown himself to be a valuable member of the Pakistan Test team.

"What an incredible force Muhammad Rizwan demonstrated throughout today's Test Match! Thank you for helping him get 150 runs with three sixes and nine fours! He has undoubtedly shown that he is a valuable addition to Pakistani Test Cricket.

What a pleasure to observe! I'm hoping he does even better in the upcoming games; he has undoubtedly made Pakistani cricket fans proud," he continued.

Interestingly, Pakistan declared their first innings at 448/6, meaning that Mohammad Rizwan was denied a well-earned double century.

With an undefeated 171 off 239 deliveries that featured 11 fours and three sixes, he continued to lead the home team in scoring. Saud Shakeel came in second with 141 off nine boundaries.

With his historic hit, the 32-year-old became one of the few Pakistani wicketkeepers (together with Imtiaz Ahmed, Taslim Arif, Rashid Latif, and Kamran Akmal) to reach the 150-run milestone in Test cricket.

This is the first time a Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman has amassed 150 runs in a single Test match since 2009.

Day two began with Muhammad Rizwan on 24 runs; however, he and Saud Shakeel dominated two sessions before the latter was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz with a stand of 240 runs.

Notably, the two-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan will take place at the same location and be played as part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) from August 21 to September 4.
