On a slow field in their opening home game of the season, the Kings' top order found it difficult to score until Kieron Pollard made an undefeated 48 to push the total to 165 for 5. With two victories and two defeats, they have four points.

Due to a familial obligation, Hales was unable to play in United's most recent match; nonetheless, his comeback strengthened the two-time champions' batting force. When Munro attempted to cut the left-arm spinner, but missed the delivery line and was caught on the back foot, Mohammad Nawaz (1-23) trapped him leg before wicket. Agha Salman (25 not out) then completed the chase in style with two massive sixes off Hasan Ali.

Earlier, United tied down Kings with spinners Imad Wasim (1-20) and Naseem Shah (1-29). Tim Siefert (8) of New Zealand was stumped in his debut game of the season, while Leus du Plooy (24) shown some aggression before he was dismissed by offspinner Salman.

In the final five overs, Hunain Shah, Naseem's brother, went for 20 off the final over, while Rumman Raees (0-45) gave up 30 off his last two overs as Pollard and Irfan Khan (27 not out) counterattacked against the pace bowlers.

After defeating Lahore Qalandars in the season opener, United had since suffered losses to Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators, and Peshawar Zalmi. With four points, they occupy the fourth position on the standings.

Ihsanullah's inaccurate elbow diagnosis is noted by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is furious over how board members have handled the injury of young fast bowler Ihsanullah. Ihsan, 21, made a big impression with his pace in the Pakistan Super League last year. He then took part in two ODIs at home against New Zealand and three T20 matches against Afghanistan in Sharjah. But after the series against New Zealand, he suffered an elbow injury that kept him out of action for the Asia Cup and World Cup. Unfortunately for the youngster, his recovery has not yet been complete due to a misdiagnosis of his condition and a botched operation in Lahore. A top physician on the board's medical panel made the first diagnosis, according to a Press Trust of India article. As a result, time was lost trying to heal the patient without surgery. Following a failed surgery at a private hospital in Lahore, medical professionals at his PSL team, Multan Sultan, determined he needed to see a specialist in the UK. The PCB has n...

In Karachi today, the drama of the previous year's epic final, which the Sultans lost by a run, was undoubtedly surpassed.
